Fallout 4 & Skyrim Special Edition – May Featured Mods
This month we have a selection of Skyrim Mods largely built around themes of nature and archery, including options to expand on bows and a variety of player homes. For Fallout 4 Mods, we’re featuring a combination of mods that make the game darker, and provide night vision options, as well as a popular armor overhaul mod.
Each featured mod is summarized below, with links to their full mod pages. We always encourage recommendations from the community for what mods they want to see featured, and these can be posted in the comments below, or in the Skyrim and Fallout 4 forums.
Skyrim Special Edition
Nevah's Keep 2.0 by NevahHaven
Skyrim mod for Xbox One
This large manor has been specifically tailored for Wood Elves, but can be enjoyed by anyone who doesn’t mind an abundance of greenery indoors. It has several specialist areas, lavishly decorated rooms and a porch that not only provides a great view, but also several targets for interested archers.
Woodsman’s Shack by B1gBadDaddy
Skyrim mod for Xbox One, PC and PlayStation 4
For the those who enjoy the outdoors, this tiny cabin provides most of the basics either inside or in its spacious yard. There’s also a great vantage point on top for hunting, or just taking in the environment.
The Foxhole by Caffeinepainter
Skyrim mod for Xbox One and PC
If you’re looking for something urban, but small and finely appointed, this is a wonderful house secreted away under Solitude. Though designed with a stealthier character in mind, it can certainly be enjoyed by anyone.

Summonable Spriggans by Myania
Skyrim mod for PlayStation 4
If you’re a conjurer, but would rather not deal with undead or daedra, this mod provides a selection of spriggan you can summon in their stead.
Belt-Fastened Quivers by Chesko and Ninivekha
Skyrim mod for PC and Xbox One
This simple mod repositions your quiver to your lower back, allowing for a different aesthetic.
Scoped Bows by OutLaw666, ported by Brownie1256
Skyrim mod for Xbox One
If you’re looking for a more involved bow upgrade, this mod allows you to craft special sights for all base game bows. It’s a great way to add variety to bows, and is well integrated into the crafting system.
Fallout 4
Weather Redux - Night Vision Pack by Iamanise
Fallout 4 mod for PlayStation 4
This mod provides several options for illuminating the dark, including new lamps and night vision goggles. While not required, it’s designed to work with the darker nights of Weather Redux, which we are re-featuring this month.
West Tek Tactical Optics - Night / Thermal Vision by Fadingsignal
Fallout 4 mod for PC and Xbox One
Another option to help you see in the dark, West Tek Tactical Optics contains a variety of great-looking vision enhancements! As with the above mod, we recommend using this with a mod that darkens the environment, and we are featuring one this month.
Darker Nights by Unforbidable
Fallout 4 mod for Xbox One available for the Commonwealth, Far Harbor and Nuka World
This classic mod makes nights darker, and also affects some interiors. There are seven versions of this mod, depending on how dark you want the game. At level 0 things are extremely dark, while level 6 is only a bit darker than the normal game. Since we are also featuring night vision equipment, we’ve gone with Darker Nights Level 1, but a quick search of Unforbidable’s uploads will bring up the other options.
Armorsmith Extended by Gambit77
Fallout 4 mod for Xbox One and PC
Another classic, Armorsmith Extended makes wide-ranging adjustments to Fallout’s equipment system, and provides an option to craft new and existing armor from scratch. There are several versions of this mod, depending on what DLC you have. This requires AWKCR, which we are re-featuring this month.
