One of my all-time favorite PAX memories is from PAX Prime 2013.

At our Elder Scrolls Online booth, we encountered two spot-on Draugrs from Skyrim, courtesy of Bill and Britt Doran of prop-making studio, Punished Props.

Getting ready for the release of Skyrim Special Edition, we reached out to Punished Props to see if they’d be interesting in doing something for Skyrim Special Edition, and they couldn’t wait to sink their teeth into a new project. Beginning this week, they’ll be releasing a series of cosplay tutorial videos, focusing on some of the fan-favorite weapons and armor from the game.

In the first video in the series, they dive into the process of creating my absolute favorite weapon in Skyrim: Wuuthrad. Check it out in the video below. As an added bonus, we’ve included the blueprints for created the legendary battleaxe, in case you want to tackle this project yourself.

Update 10/14:

Punished Props has returned with their second cosplay tutorial video. This time around, take a look at the creation of Skyrim’s Horned Steel Helmet. After watching the video you can grab the blueprints – available for both large and small head sizes!

Update 11/04:

Punished Props’ three-part Steel Armor video series is complete. See how Bill Doran magically transforms foam into a convincing set of Steel Armor worthy of Skyrim.

Watch the step-by-step process in the video below, and if you’re ready to get started, Punished Props has all the blueprints here.
