We hope you are as excited as we are to return to the world of The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim.

Bringing the game to a new generation of players and hardware – including the ability to play PC Mods on consoles – has been an incredible journey for us and we can’t wait to share the game with you.

Please note that there is a small update that will download and install before you play the game. Before you begin, remember to make sure that you’re online so you get the update.

Game Features

Skyrim Special Edition includes:

• The ability to play PC mods on consoles. Now console gamers can experience new quests, environments, characters, dialogue, armor, weapons and more

Playing Skyrim Special Edition with Mods

Mods for Skyrim Special Edition will be available at launch for all platforms. In order to play and browse Mods in game, please follow the steps outlined below:

• Go online and create a Bethesda.net account at https://account.bethesda.net/en/join
• Select “Mods” from the in-game main menu and log-in with your Bethesda.net username and password
• Logging-in will automatically link your gamertag and platform that you’re using to play the game
• Start browsing and playing Mods! When you play with Mods, a new character filter is created with their own set of saves and autosaves. These saves are marked with an [M] in the title. Your character and saved games pre-mod remain untouched and ready for you to go back to at any time.

Existing Save Games

Existing save games from the original PC game will work in the PC version of Skyrim Special Edition. Simply copy your old saves from My Games/Skyrim to My Games/Skyrim Special Edition. Only use original saves that have never been used with mods. Do not use your original saved game if this error appears when you load it in Skyrim Special Edition:

This save relies on content that is no longer present.

Drivers

Both NVIDIA and AMD are creating specific PC drivers for Skryim Special Edition planned for launch. We recommend downloading them prior to playing the game.

PS4 Pro Support

Skyrim Special Edition will render in native 4K resolution on the PS4 Pro when the console launches on November 10, 2016.

• 2pm Japan (October 28th)

Consoles Unlock Times

• The game will unlock on consoles at 12am local time throughout European territories, midnight ET for North American players, and 2pm Japan time.

Free Upgrade to Skyrim Special Edition on Steam

For anyone that owns the main game and all three add-ons (Dawnguard, Hearthfire and Dragonborn), you will receive Skyrim Special Edition separately in your Steam Library at no additional cost.

Eligible Skyrim purchasers include:

• Anyone that owns Skyrim Legendary Edition on Steam.
• Anyone that owns Skyrim and all three DLCs (Dawnguard, Hearthfire, Dragonborn) on Steam.

To ensure eligibility, you must own all Skyrim content on Steam on or before October 28.

Please note that if you do not complete your Skyrim + all DLC bundle until October 28, your free upgrade to Skyrim Special Edition may take up to 36 hours to apply to your account.
